Letting Go All The Way

Untitled Abstract - 2009
Well this piece isn't finished just yet but I wanted to show the direction I'm taking with some new pieces. I'm really letting go and keeping the composition as free as possible, I'm trying to strip down my art to it's raw basic core. Let me know what you think.....RWJR

HUMBLE KING

From Ghetto To Graceland
16" x 20"
Mixed Media on Canvas
Elvis came from poverty, from living in the Ghetto to living in his dream home at Graceland. He went from cochroaches to gold toothbrushes and it's his determination and passion for music that guided him in the right path. While living in the housing projects Elvis joined the church choir and later won at a talent show at school to win $5 and all rides free at the fair. The next year after he won the fair contest his uncle bought him a guitar and the rest is history. There is an old Buddhist saying, if you are going in the right direction all you have to do is walk.....................................................................................:)
