THYROID SURGERY

This piece is inspired by the recent turn of events in my personal life. I have surgery on the ninth to remove a five centimeter nodule on my left thyroid gland, about two inches long. My Doc says it might be cancer and they might have to remove both thyroid glands because there is a growth on the other one too. On top of that they have to move my vocal cord nerve by slicing it off of the gland and set it aside giving the possibility of voice loss. I've been having dreams about my throat being cut and thought this would be a good way to get out my fears and try to think positive. I Hope I didn't freak everyone out. I just wanted to let you know what this piece is inspired by, and what I'm up against. Thanks again so much to EVERYONE!

FEAR OF FALLING

Physically, spiritually, economically the fear of falling is shared by most people including myself. I've got a bad case of the fear of heights. I dream frequently about falling from a tall structure much like in a cartoon way up in the clouds... We will all have to fall one day though, each one of us in our own way, but that is the final curtain fall...........

Get some priority mail boxes from the USPS, paint on them, wrap them with clear tape, fill with lightweight filler, sell them or give them as gifts via the USPS. Postal Stimulus Package provided by the USPS itself, it's a symbiotic relationship that prospers both sides, create jobs and art at the same time. This is my first box and I plan on making many more so keep an eye out on ebay for some more in the future. I came up with this idea after seeing all the postal layoffs around the country, just one thought on how to help. Plus it's a free canvas! How can you go wrong, jump aboard and do the same thing....RWJR

Life in the fast lane these days will get you rear ended if your not careful. Then look ahead a wreck, gotta slow down, now we're stuck in the sand. We should have taken the scenic route, maybe we would have seen something inspiring instead of just tail lights and bumpers. The crab's got a good point...RWJR

County Fair

I remember going to the fair and my sisters would always get cotton candy(blue and pink, just to be different) and I'd get a candy apple(just to be different). I remember Mom always saying don't drop it, while my sisters trying to snatch it out of my hand. A pinch of cotton candy for a bite of apple, now that's a fair deal. pun intended.
